Sweet Liesl is simply put, one of our favorite things. Way better than raindrops on roses, whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles OR warm woolen mittens. German Shorthairs tend to be crazy active youngsters but turn into such lovely dogs as they settle and mature, long before they are sixteen going on seventeen, that we think the middle-aged ones are among the best dogs that come through the Shelter. Liesl is looking for a family that will give her daily exercise, a regular routine, and lots of love. A captain with seven dog savvy children is a bonus but not a requirement. Fraulein Liesl is good on a leash, easy to handle, good with dogs (though sometimes a little assertive on first introduction), might be okay with the right cat and slow greetings, and is an altogether wonderful dog! Help Liesl say “So long, farewell, au revoir, auf wiedersehen” to her friends at the Shelter and welcome her into your home forever.
