Meghan Faherty

Meghan has been involved with the Animal Shelter in many different capacities for several years, from kennel attendant to bookkeeper to foster mom, and is very passionate about animal welfare. She has experience with many local nonprofits, barns, and veterinary clinics as a veterinary technician, bookkeeper, receptionist, therapeutic riding instructor, and barn manager. Meghan is originally from Vermont and while she is frequently homesick for family, foliage, and Macintosh apples, she has grown to love the community here in the Wood River Valley.  Her not overly useful degree is a BA in English from the University of Vermont. When she is not working at the Shelter she loves riding and competing her horse Smokey, equally laughing at and being exasperated by her two Pitbull mixes, Mavis and Gulliver, her two cats, Arlo and Alice, and her free- ranging backyard chickens.
