Jenny Gardenswartz comes to the beautiful Wood River Valley by way of New Jersey and Southern California. She started her work at the shelter as an Adoption Counselor and moved to her current position as the Volunteer and Community Outreach Coordinator in summer 2015. In this position, Jenny manages the recruitment and activities of volunteers as well as various forms of community outreach such as WOW projects (where grades K – 8 volunteer at ASWRV), Hiking Buddies (a summer program that lets community members hike shelter dogs) and Paws Around Town (a program that brings shelter dogs to town events where they can be socialized and adopted). Jenny loves to talk to people about the shelter and its various programs and brainstorm new ways for the community to support ASWRV.
Jenny lives in Hailey with her husband Will, her son Max, their fabulous golden retriever Dutch, and their recently adopted kittens, Ender and Valentine.
