Foster Me

The Animal Shelter of the Wood River Valley is looking for
homes to temporarily foster homeless dogs and cats!

Thank you for your interest in becoming a foster parent. There are many animals in need of your support.  And although it is important for us to keep our highly adoptable animals with us at the shelter where it is convenient for potential adopters to see them anytime,  we often find that some animals do much better outside of the shelter walls.  These animals might be in need of socialization which can only happen outside of the shelter or they may have specific areas in their training that require more consistency than we can offer here.   Other animals in need of your help include neonate and bottle feeding kittens or animals on medications that need to be administered beyond our shelter hours.
We hope you enjoy navigating through our website to learn more about our foster program and please contact the shelter if we were unable to answer your questions here.
