Although the shelter is a refuge for many dogs and cats, it’s not the most stress-free environment. On a daily basis, we review the population and talk about ways to make a shelter pets’ stay more comfortable. Sometimes the only answer is YOU, being a foster. If you’ve never considered this program before, please do so now.
Come in and meet some of these dogs, ask us questions about the program and share the information! We’re looking to expand our foster base and need your help. We provide all necessary food, supplies, help and guidance you could possibly need! The information you provide us about how a dog is in the home allows us to make better adoption matches, too.
The best part (besides helping a dog and making more room in the shelter?) WE WILL ACCOMMODATE YOUR SCHEDULE! Yes, that means if you have a pre-planned vacation or need a few days away you just let us know and bring the dog back to the shelter while you’re away!
The Shelter is actively searching for temporary foster homes for animals in need. We will be holding a Foster Volunteer Orientation on November 17th at both 11am & 5:30pm at the Shelter’s development office. For more information or to RSVP, please call the Shelter at 208-788-4351 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
