Happy Tail Update from Hobie!
“Last February we adopted a puppy, Hobie, from ASWRV and we wanted to update you on our first year with her. As you know, my husband -a firefighter with Wood River Fire & Rescue- worked on the Beaver Creek fire as it threatened the shelter. Later that winter we visited the shelter hoping to adopt a puppy. As Sebine put Hobie (then Jasmine) in our arms we knew immediately she would be a part of our family. Hobie has brought us so much joy and laughter this year it is hard to describe it all! She is well adjusted, super sweet and fun to be around.
This summer we spent many days on our sailboat at Redfish Lake. Hobie loves the boat and gets very jiggy when we put on her canine PFD. We also did some backpacking in the White Clouds and in the Bighorn Crags. Hobie hikes along without straying too far and enjoys sleeping in our tent. Hobie is also a great traveler and knows when we get the camper van out it means road trip! We recently spent two weeks in our camper van on the Olympic Peninsula. She loved the Washington coast beaches, many of which are dog-friendly. She chased sea gulls and played in the waves. Last weekend we took her Nordic skiing for the first time. We expected some chaos but again she impressed us with her good behavior-greeting skiers and dogs but not chasing them. Needless to say she loves Titus Loop!
We just celebrated Hobie’s first birthday, Monday, December 1st and we thought you may like to see some pictures of her first year with us.
Thank you again for all you do for animals and for our community!”
